Tempat smiled and jumped out of the bushes, racing after the stag as the herd started to run. Tempat knew he needed to get around the stag and herd him back toward Algol for the killing blow and maybe get a few more, some to take to his parents and some for him and Algol for a couple of days. Tempat was happy racing after the deer, he couldn't wait to tell his parents about Algol and be with Algol in a den alone with him to really get to know him. Tempat grinned at the thought and slunk around the stag without the deer noticing until the last minute. The stag was able to turn though and Tempat pushed the stag and four others towards Algol. "Get ready Algol." Tempat yelled.

Algol watched carefully at Tempat's running, his gracefulness in his legs. Algol shook his head just in time to hear Tempat's call. Algol simply replied, "I've got this!" With one fluid moment he slit the stag's along with the others' throats causing them to drop dead at his feet. Algol smiled and bowed.

Tempat pulled up beside him and grinned. "Nicely done Throatcutter." He nicknamed Algol grinned, before padding over and grabbing three of the deer, hefting them on his back and beginning to pad back the way they came. "Your really good." Tempat comforted, giving Algol's cheek a quick lick before padding away to hide his blush yet again.

Algol tilts his head smiling cheerfully. "Thank you medicine boy!" Algol took the rest of the deer and easily carried them upon his back. When Algol was licked by Tempat a second time Algol had a blush trailing across his face. He shook his head to get rid of it and caught up to Tempat who seemed to be avoiding his gaze. "Tempat? Are you alright?" Algol was a bit confused why Tempat was acting this way.

Tempat looked at Algol, the blush still prominent on his face. "I- I'm fine Algol. Sorry." He said softly, looking back at his paws as they padded back to the clearing near the olden tree.

Algol was concerned that Tempat had a fever. "Oh medicine boy...what ever shall I do with you?" Algol chuckled. He followed right behind Tempat humming so sort of tune he had come up with.

Tempat shook his head softly. "I don't know." He said and listened to Algol. The Leoparonda's voice was soothing to him. Tempat closed his eyes as he walk so that he could listen to Algol hum.

Algol continued onwords with his tune until they came to the clearing where they were just recently at. "Well...here we are again! The grand clearing with the yummy berries." Algol chuckled.

Tempat nodded and plopped down on the earth, his muscles sore from the running. "Yay, I can rest now." Tempat said looking over at Algol, the deer still on his back as he lay there.

Algol drops the deer gently so they are undamaged. He then pads over to Tempat and removes the stags from his back. Algol flashes a smile at Tempat and lays beside him.

"Thank you. I haven't ran like that in a long time." Tempat said, snuggling closer to Algol. He purred softly as he lay his head on Algol's paws and put his muzzle into Algol's chest fur. Not long after Tempat is sound asleep.

Algol's face is almost as red as his spots and he looks up into the sky. Not realizing that he too is purring. 'I haven't been this happy since...never. Wow.' Algol thinks to himself as he lays his own head next to Tempat's humming very softly and sweetly.

Tempat drifts into a deep sleep, Algol's humming is all he can hear in his head, but also he sees the dreams of his parents hating him cause he is gay and not wanting him around. Of them pushing their only son out of his territory. Tempat suddenly stirs awake and is on his paws in seconds.

As Tempat is on his paws Algol asks with one eye open, "What? What happened? Are you ok?" Algol is concerned something happened to "his" medicine boy.

Tempat looks around, calming himself slowly. He nods before laying back down with Algol. "Yes just bad dreams of my parents." He says softly completely calm now.
